The Rural Spark has added Interim services to better serve your organization.
There are so many reasons you might want or need to work with an interim economic or community developer.
- The most obvious reason, your previous director left, retired, etc.
- Your organization needs time to regroup and get things done before you are ready to hire full time.
- You may need an interim to train someone you hired who may have little experience in this field.
- The board of directors needs help getting back on track after being derailed for some reason or another.
- You are setting up a new or different type of organization.
The Rural Spark can help.
Our services would include a combination of in-person and virtual meetings with your organization. The Rural Spark would meet with your organization, define goals, and lay out a plan with you. Then, we would work with you via phone and zoom to accomplish the goals of the organization.
The plan would have defined goals and outcomes so that everyone knew exactly what needed to be done in the contracted time frame. At the end of the contract, we would make sure any follow-up items could be done by staff or the board or set up a follow-up call to get these things resolved. This makes sure that no one is left hanging and a well-defined plan is laid out for everyone.
We have developed a sliding scale for the cost depending on the size of the community. There would be a fee to contract with us plus lodging for in-person events. You can contact us for those rates.
The Rural Spark is a small organization that specializes in working with small communities. The owner of the company has served for almost 20 years as an economic developer in small communities. She knows and understands the interworkings of small communities. She understands what can be accomplished and the time it will take.
